Snowdrop Tours
A private weekday guided tour of the snowdrops at Colesbourne Park makes an ideal winter excursion for your gardening club, society, group of friends or commercial travel company.
Due to the popularity of our tours we are now also offering an Open Guided Tour on Friday 14th February 2025 for individuals who wish to experience the full guided tour usually only available to large groups. Advance booking and payment required, please click here to email for further details.
Tours are guided by Sir Henry Elwes and Head Gardener Katie Reynolds and give a uniquely personal look at the snowdrop collection and the gardens.
Tours start at 11am or 2pm.
What’s Included?
The tour includes a short presentation that includes the history of Colesbourne Park and the Elwes family and a brief introduction to the amazing diversity of snowdrops. This is followed by a guided walk around the grounds, giving the opportunity to see both the massed plantings and the collection of rare snowdrops. Coffee & tea with cake will be served on arrival or departure. Plants are on sale.
Bookings
The minimum group size is 20, maximum 50. Groups may visit by coach or in private cars, with good parking available. The cost is £17.00 per visitor, including refreshments, introductory talk and the guided tour.
As tours are popular early booking is advised. Please contact the Estate Secretary on 01242 870264 or e-mail info@colesbournegardens.org.uk to discuss your requirements and available dates.
Garden and Arboretum Tours
The gardens and arboretum at Colesbourne remain attractive throughout the year and we welcome enquiries for private guided tours at other times. Please make contact as above. Sir Henry Elwes along with head gardener Katie Reynolds are available at all times to impart their extensive knowledge.
