Friends of Colesbourne – “Foxes”

As you can imagine, with over 200,000 bulbs in the ground at Colesbourne, managing them, keeping them healthy and making them look their best takes time and dedication. Our gardeners do a wonderful job throughout the year, potting up, transplanting, propagating and tidying but we could always do with extra pairs of hands at our busy times in the year. In summer, although the days are long and warm, there still seems to be not enough time to do the jobs we really need to do to develop.

To this end, we are looking for a small team of volunteers to help us develop the gardens for the future. You don’t need to be an expert as you will be led by our gardeners here. All we ask for is enthusiasm, a love of fresh air and an ability to get stuck in.

Helpful times of the year are in the summer months when we move our bulbs and start our planning for the coming season. We also need help when the gardens are open, guiding and providing information for visitors. If you would like to apply to become a “Friend of Colesbourne”, please do get in touch for an application form.

To those who are able to help us, we offer a range of perks in addition to the knowledge you will learn in the garden, including free entry to the snowdrops in February and Colesbourne Gardens branded clothing.
