SNOWDROP STUDY DAYS |
||
| THURSDAY FEBRUARY 18 2010 SOLD OUT and THURSDAY
FEBRUARY 25 2010 Colesbourne Park is renowned as the home of one of the finest collections of snowdrops open to the public, built up by members of the Elwes family since 1874, when Henry John Elwes discovered Galanthus elwesii in Turkey. Our Snowdrop Study Days enable enthusiasts to meet and learn more about snowdrops and their companions in the winter garden from experts, while enjoying a private viewing of the Colesbourne collection. Our guest speakers this year are the keen galanthophile and photographer Jim Almond; Joe Sharman, plantsman extraordinaire from Monksilver Nursery and Bob Brown, proprietor of Cotswold Garden Flowers and well-known lecturer. |
